One night, Jesus went to the garden of Gathsemane to pray. It was right
before his arrest, and he was deeply grieved. Three times, he prays, "My
Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me; yet not as I will,
but as Thou wilt."
Jesus knew He was the Lamb of God, and would soon be sacrificed on a
cross to die for the sins of the whole world. The thought of it made him
sweat drops of blood, and made him so weak that God sends an angel to strengthen
him. Later that night, Jesus is arrested.
Jesus is spit on, beaten, and scourged. They crown him with thorns,
and give him a cross to carry to be crucified. At nine A.M., they arrive
at Golgotha, known as the place of the skull. Before they drive the nails
into Jesus hands and feet, he is offered wine mixed with gall, to deaden
the pain-But Jesus refuses. He cries out, "Father, forgive them; for they
do not know what they are doing." He is nailed to the cross, and put between
two thieves. Soldiers throw lots for his garment. Chief priests, elders,
scribes, and soldiers walk by and mock him. Above his head is written,
'King of the Jews!'
At twelve o'clock noon, darkness covers the land for three hours. The
Father withdraws from the scene, as Jesus cries out, "My God, my God, why
hast thou forsaken me?" For thirst, fever, and excruciating pain, they
give Jesus vinegar to drink...As Jesus carries the sins of the whole
world.
At three o'clock, Jesus cries out, "It is finished! Father, into Thy
hands I commit my spirit." And breathes his last. Suddenly there's an earthquake,
and the veil inside the temple is torn in two from top to bottom-As God
the Father announces the death of His only begotten Son.
Jesus is buried, and three days later rises from the dead. For forty
days, He walks the earth with His disciples and appears to many. Before
He returns to His Father, He meets with His disciples on The Mount of Olives
and gives them the Great Commission...
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them all that I commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew
28:18-20)

PRAYERS and SCRIPTURES
A Prayer For Salvation
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved,
you and your household." (Acts 16:31)
Everyone needs Salvation...And Jesus Christ turns
no one away! The Bible says that to be saved, you
must repent of your sins, and believe and confess
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior (See Romans
10:9-10). The prayer below will help you surrender your own heart to
Jesus Christ, so you can begin your walk with Him...
Dear Father, I know that you are the Almighty God, the Creator
of Heaven and earth. Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God, conceived
by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. I believe that you suffered
and died on the cross for my sins, and rose from the dead. Jesus, I know
that I am a sinner. Forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart today, and
give me eternal life with you when I die. Help me to read and understand
the Bible, and grow with you each day. I receive you, Jesus Christ, into
my own heart and home today. I now confess you as my personal Lord and
Savior. In Jesus' name, I pray.

Dear Father, join my prayers with other family members today, as we stand in agreement for our loved ones and the generations to come.
We pray the protection of Jesus Christ over our hearts and homes, call on God's angels to come and minister to us, and ask the Holy Spirit to save, deliver and guide us into God's perfect will and safe place.
Send your wisdom and blessings to my home and that of other family members. Reveal yourself in mighty ways, as you use us for your glory. In Jesus' Name, I pray.

The Lord's Prayer
The Lord's Prayer (also named "The Our Father"), to me, is a powerful daily prayer to say. Though some take it as only a form of prayer, this prayer covers all your needs for the day with an emphasis on forgiveness. Be sure to say it with an honest heart...
The disciples asked Jesus how to pray. Jesus said to pray in this way...
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
(Matthew 6:9-15)

Psalm 91: Trust in the Lord
David had a heart for God. Though not perfect, he had a relationship with God, and knew the security that came with putting his trust in God each day. (Note the (") quotation marks at the end. God spoke this to David and to all that puts their trust in the Lord.)
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, "My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!"
3 For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
6 Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
7 A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.
8 You will only look on with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.
9 For you have made the Lord, my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10 No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.
11 For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.
12 They will bear you up in their hands,
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.
14 "Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.
15 "He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.
16 "With a long life I will satisfy him, And let him behold My salvation."

Say A Simple Prayer
If you say a simple prayer or two
And ask for help in all you do
And you ask God, in faith
For his strength to see you through...
Then at the end of the day you'll see
All the work that you have complete
And you'll look up above and you'll realize
That he really cares for you...
When you say just a
Simple prayer or two.

God is there with
you
I wanted to remind you
God is there with you,
Guiding all your footsteps
In all you're going through.
I wanted to remind you
The love God has to give,
And daily provides all your needs
To laugh...to trust...to live.
I wanted to remind you
God doesn't go away,
But quietly sends angels
To help you find your way.
I wanted to remind you
You are not alone,
God picks you up and carries you
Wherever you must go.
I just wanted to remind you
God's there in all you do,
And answers prayers so you will know
He's right there...Watching you!

My best friend, Jesus
I have a friend named Jesus
and he's, oh, so close to me,
and this very best friend Jesus
is as loving and kind as can be!
He's my very special Jesus
and I walk with him each day,
and I know my precious Jesus
walks with me along my way.
He's a busy friend my Jesus
but he finds time just for me,
and I talk to my friend Jesus
and he even talks to me!
I really love my Jesus
and I know that he loves me,
he's my very best friend Jesus
and he's, oh, so good to me!
I really trust my Jesus
for he's always by my side,
and I'll always keep my Jesus
'cause I'm, oh, so glad he's mine!
He's my very special Jesus
and no matter what they say,
I will always love my Jesus
in my very own special way!

Young Lady
See yourself as special
For that's how God sees you,
Live your life with honor
As you think before you do.
Take a vow of duty
On the choices that are right,
Protect your ways with caution
So your future will look bright.
Know mistakes will happen
But learn and then move on,
Use the errors of yesterday
To make tomorrow strong.
Know it's never too late
For things to turn around,
God finds a way of using even
Things that we do wrong.
Find out who you really are
By spending time above,
Dream the dreams God gave you
Then walk them through with love.
Cherish all your friendships
And choose them being wise,
But know that true strength lies within
And gathers over time.
Pamper all your delicacies
And spend time just with you,
And then the lady that you see
To others will shine through.

God's Garden On The Hill (A
Story of Deliverance)
One day while I was running
From the troubles of my life,
I came upon this garden
Full of peace and mighty light.
I fell upon my knees and hung
My head into my hands,
And sobbed, for I had realized
That I ran into God's land.
He picked me up and placed me
On this pedestal with care,
And looked at me and smiled
With His love He had to share.
He took my hand and showed me
His place of paradise,
And as we talked, God walked me by
The troubles of my life.
I noticed that the road was dark,
But when I looked ahead,
I saw this light upon a hill
Where my whole life had led!
He laid His hands of peace upon
The darkness of my life,
And led me up this hill into
His garden full of light.
I walk into this garden
Everyday upon this hill,
Where God sits me on this pedestal
And shows me that He's real.
And everyday He listens
To my heart and takes my hand,
As He walks me through His garden
On the hill, back to His land.

Hearts (A family prayer)
Replace our pride with humbleness
And show us, Lord, your way,
Come mend our wounds with healing
In our hearts, oh Lord, we pray.
Please guard our thoughts that enter in
And fill each word we speak,
With the love and gentle kindness
Of your kind, oh Lord, we seek.
Tear down these walls that keep us all
Beyond your special love,
And help us, Lord, to build a bond
With you, who reigns above.
Come stand within this empty house
And fill our lives with faith,
Rebuild each room with love and peace
That lies within your grace.
We give you, Lord, our broken home
Of hearts that can not see,
And pray that you will hear our cries
For your love to set us free!

Enter through the Narrow
Door
There was this man of wisdom
Who gave his child advice
On things that were important
To live a prosperous life.
The father said...Be careful child,
There are many roads to take.
But only One will get you through
The Narrow Door, with faith!
For some will try to tell you
That all paths lead to life,
But you be sure to take the one
That leads to Jesus Christ.
Know you'll need direction,
So don't forget to pray.
And listen if God warns you
To go another way!
Don't ever think you know it all,
But read the Word of God.
It's there you'll find the wisdom
That will guide you, child, along.
Know God searches hearts and minds,
So guard the life you live...
And then, my child, you'll prosper in
Eternal life with Him.

The Servant
(Running God's Race)
They'll run into the byway
And search the city wide
To reach the lost who need the love
Of Jesus Christ inside.
They'll meet their needs in kindness
To encourage-Not destroy,
They'll depend upon God's Spirit
And obey God's Word with joy.
They'll never take the credit
Or attempt to take a bow,
They'll be humble in God's presence
But a warrior on ground.
They'll know the love and grace of God,
The power in the blood...
And in Jesus' name they'll walk into
The raging war above.
They'll share their faith with eagerness
And teach the spiritual fight,
They'll carry on for Jesus
Even when things don't go right.
They'll be an apostle, a prophet, a teacher,
Whatever God calls them to be...
But mostly they'll just be a servant
Of the Lord of lords, the King of kings.

Letters From Heaven
I'm sending you this letter
To let you know I'm fine,
So that you will not worry
Or think of me and cry.
I've got a heavenly Father
Who watches over me,
And plenty of real big angels
To protect me when I sleep.
There's beautiful gardens all around
With flowers that really breathe,
And other children to play with
Who want to be friends with me!
There are winding streets all made of gold
And lined with fruit-filled trees,
And through it runs a river
That brings life to all I can see.
There are animals and skies of blue
With mansions everywhere,
And someone's always singing...
Sending music through the air.
It's a really beautiful city
With high walls and real big gates,
And twelve nice men that guard them...
So you see, I'm really quite safe!
I have to go now for Jesus is waiting
To show me all He has made,
So please don't worry and don't be sad...
'Cause I really am doing okay.

A Mother's Prayer (For
her child)
Help me, Lord, to stop and look
Into my child's face,
And see this gift you gave me
With your hands of mighty grace.
Oh, help me, Lord, to fill this life
You placed within my hands,
With the same love and protection
That your holy name commands.
Please show me, Lord, within my heart
Just how to care your way,
And bless me with your patience
So my child's love don't fade.
Oh, guide my way so I can see...
Don't let me look away,
Oh, please, dear Lord, just help me be
Your kind of Mom today.
Dear Lord, I give my heart to you...
Please fill it with your grace,
And help me, Lord, put back that smile
Unto my child's face.

The Loving Hand Of God
(Grieving the loss of a loved one)
You may wonder where they are or if they'll be alright; But I know a God whose eyes roam the earth to seek the lost all day and night.
You may feel the hurt and pain because you loved them so; But I know a God who loves them
even more than one can know.
You may see a God who suddenly came
and took someone away; But I know a God who has built a place
where He takes rescued souls everyday.
You may grieve that they're not saved
for the things they said and did; But I know a God who in an instant can change a heart
that has cried out to Him.
You may feel some guilt and blame,
"If there's something I just would have done!" But I know a God who knows all things
and knew this day would come.
You may be angry that God wasn't there
and now you're asking Him, "Why?" But I know a God who is never late
and reached out His hand just in time.
You may wonder how you can go on
with the pain that you feel this day. But I know a God who gives peace and strength
to those who will call on His Name.

A Mother's
giving of the heart
I sat back and watched you these passing years,
as you opened your heart to a God who is real.
And now I can see, through answered prayer...
This 'giving of the heart' from a Mother who cares.
So, whenever I feel I can't make it today,
I think of you, Mother, and your warm, loving ways.
And I remember that strength and kindness I've seen...
This 'giving of the heart' the way God meant it to be.
So, Mom, even though I'm not there by your side,
I know that God's walking with you in your life.
And because I am taught by the things that you do...
This 'giving of the heart' I will have just like you!

Letter to my son (For Sons
without Dads)
I knew you before you were ever born
And watched you grow up day by day,
Even the times you felt all alone...
I was there, son, to show you the way!
I bet you didn't know that I carried you
Or hugged you on days you were sad,
All those times you went out to play...
It was me who took you by your hand!
When trouble was coming I covered you
Until all the danger passed by,
In times of doubt I gave you the faith
To believe in me...Just one more time!
When you were worried I sent you my peace
And stayed until things were okay,
In times of need when you called on me...
Those were my words I gave you to pray!
When you felt bad that your dad wasn't there
To be proud of the things that you do,
You didn't even know I made sure to be there
Just to stand in his place...Next to you!
Son, just continue to trust in me
And know that our journey's not done.
And as your Dad, know I couldn't be more proud,
From your Father in Heaven, with love!

From The Book Of Proverbs
(A Simple Guide For Living)
Love your Mother and Father, and always obey.
Let them guide and teach you along your way.
Don't let your friends tempt you in doing wrong.
Ask the Lord to show you and make you strong.
Be careful on things that you say and do.
Don't lie, cheat, steal, or say words that are cruel.
Don't be jealous of others or get greedy for things.
Put your trust in the Lord for all things you need.
Look to the Lord in whatever you do.
Before you begin, ask him, "What should I do?"
For the Lord is wiser and sees you each day.
Put your life in his hands-Do things his way.
Lend a helping hand to others in need,
With tender care, so God's love they will see.
Treat others the way you'd like them to treat you.
Inside your heart-Let God's light shine through.
Guard your mind and heart, for they pave the way.
Always hold your head high with Jesus each day.
Listen to God when he teaches you right.
He'll be there to help you all day and all night.
If you should stumble and do something wrong,
Ask God to forgive you and to help you along.
Remember, the Lord's there for you every day.
Whenever you need him-Just call out his name!
First thing in the morning, say hello to the Lord.
And at night, be sure to say thank you once more!

We are Heavenly
faces
We thought that you would like to know, from the day we are conceived,
we are heavenly faces that need a chance to live, to grow, and to breathe...
At the end of month one our hearts are beating! We're already a half-inch
long! And our organs are developing...Like our brain, liver, stomach, and
lungs!
At the end of month two we're about one inch long! Ears, ankles
and wrists we now see! And fingers and toes have already grown beyond our
hands and feet!
At the end of month three we're three inches long! To one whole
ounce we've grown! You can hear our hearts beat! We have spaces for teeth!
Soft nails cover fingers and toes!
At the end of month four we are seven inches! We weigh one-third
of a pound! We can kick and swallow! And for the first time...Our moms feel
us moving around!
At the end of month five we are twelve inches long! We now can
turn and bend! We weigh one pound! And we notice this hair that's grown
on the top of our heads!
At the end of month six we are fourteen inches! To two pounds
we have grown! And we've opened our eyes to find personal prints on the
tips of our fingers and toes!
At the end of month seven we are fifteen inches! We weigh about
three pounds! We kick and stretch and suck our thumbs...Responding to lights
and to sounds!
At the end of month eight we are eighteen inches! We weigh in
at five pounds! And we're sure that you have felt us inside hiccup a few
times by now!
At the end of month nine we're twenty inches! About six to nine
pounds we can weigh! Our skin is much smoother...And we're starting to
turn! So we're guessing it's just a few days!
We are all gifts from God who will enter the world and grow just like
the rest. But, 'til then, keep in mind...We are heavenly faces. And from God's hands and heart we are sent!

With the heart of a child
A little boy went to Heaven. He stood at the door and pounded. Suddenly,
it opened...And there stood the Lord.
"I know you!" said the little boy.
"You do?" said the Lord.
"Yep!" said the boy, as he looked around. "You're the one I prayed
to all the time. My mom and I read all about you."
The Lord smiled at the little boy, and asked, "So, did you bring anything
with you?"
"Nope!" said the boy. "My mom always told me to come to you just as
I was...And that we can't take things with us."
"You mean you didn't bring a list of good deeds or excuses, or anything
like that?" asked the Lord.
The boy replied, "Nope! Just myself! Can I come in now?"
"But, how do you know I'll let you in?" asked the Lord.
"Because my mom said you would," replied the boy.
"So, son, did you do as I say?" asked the Lord.
"Yep!" replied the boy. "I trusted only you could get me up here! I
also had faith to believe each day you'd get me out of all that trouble!
And when I made those mistakes, I asked you to forgive me. Don't you remember?"
"Oh, yes," said the Lord, as He closed this big book. "So, did you
tell anyone else about me down there?"
"Sure!" the boy said, as he started fumbling around in his pockets.
"But, I think I lost my allowance! I'm sure glad my mom said it's free
to get into this place...(And something about a lady named Grace.)
Was she right?"
"Yes, son," said the Lord. "In fact, I paid the price for your entrance
up here about 2000 years ago! (And that's grace-Not Grace.)"
The boy stood there with his hands in his pockets and politely nodded,
as he tried to sneak a peak inside Heaven's door.
"So, are you ready to come in now?" asked the Lord.
"Sure!" replied the boy. As they entered, hand in hand, the little
boy turned to Jesus and asked, "So, do you let big people in here, too?"
"Yep," replied Jesus. "But, only if they come just like you."

God's Mountains
Each day I would climb this huge mountain, and each day I struggled
as I tried to reach the top. For every mountain I climbed, another one
would appear; and for every mountain I had just finished climbing, the
next one would be even bigger than the last! I finally became tired of
climbing these mountains, and I cried out, "God! You made all of these
mountains! Why do you keep putting them in my way?"
The Lord yelled back, "You didn't have to climb all of those mountains!
If you would have took the time to read my signs, you could have used my
path that goes around them!"
"But Lord," I cried, "Why didn't you tell me your signs were there?"
The Lord yelled back, "My child, you never asked!"
I started looking for the Lord's signs, and began to walk around the
mountains instead of struggling over them. After many days, I came to a
mountain that had no sign! I cried out, "Lord, you forgot to drop me a
sign by this mountain!"
The Lord yelled back, "I do not forget, my child. This sign you forgot
to pray for. I will have to help you climb this mountain."
I smiled cordially to the Lord as we began to climb the mountain together.
All the way up...And all the way down...I prayed that He didn't forget
any other signs along the way.
After a few more days, I came to this huge mountain that had two signs!
"Lord!," I cried, "You must have made a mistake! You dropped two signs
by this mountain!"
The Lord yelled back, "I do not make mistakes, my child. If you only
wanted one sign by that mountain, then you should have asked for only one
sign!"
"But Lord!," I cried, "Which path do I take?"
"Take the hard and narrow path," cried the Lord; "There's less traffic
on that one!"
After walking on this path for many days, I looked up and saw flat
land. "Lord!," I cried with joy, "What happened to all of those mountains?"
The Lord yelled back, "Oh, I have them up here with me! You just stay
on the path you're on, and I'll climb these mountains for you!"

The Secret Place (Called Devotion)
"Come back to your secret place with Me, says the Lord. Let My love
burn in your heart. May your footsteps walk with Mine, says the Lord God.
In this secret place is your worship to Me. In this secret place we get
to fellowship. In this secret place the enemies cannot find you. For, in
this secret place is the light of God! And darkness cannot enter-Nor does
it wish to!
Don't forget about this secret place of just you and Me. For, in this
secret place is My peace. It is a place the world cannot find. It cannot
be found by man, but only by My Spirit, says the Lord. In this secret place
is a quiet place for your spirit to live-To dwell. In this secret place
you will find heaven.
Only in Me can you go to this secret place. Only in submission to Me
will you be ready to enter. For, in this secret place are teachings of
My Spirit. In it is fellowship and laughter with the Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. In it are the keys to all God possesses.
Keep your mind on this secret place, for it is our friendship. It is
putting Me number one. In it lie the keys to My kingdom, and the power
and the glory of My Father. In it lies the dwelling and power of the Holy
Spirit, and an acknowledgement of all who controls the heaven and the earth.
It is this secret place where you find your new birth. In this secret
place is where you lose your life, but gain eternity. In this secret place
is where heaven and earth are separate...Where the things of God are revealed.
In it lies the Truth-the Word of God-God in the flesh (Jesus Christ), the
Savior for the world.
In this secret place lie the mysteries where the heart changes, where
the old is past and a new beginning occurs, where sin is forgiven, where
the veil is removed. In this secret place is where you enter behind the
veil of the temple and see. And in this secret place no longer do you (only)
hear, but now you know. And only in this secret place are you safe from
going back!
This secret place between you and Me is devotion! Let no one keep you
from it-But guard it! And it will bring forth much fruit. In Jesus' Name."

Family Prayers
We lift up to you today our broken hearts and broken home. Hear our
prayers and answer them as you gather them before your throne. And when
we're going through a darkened hour, will you let us know you're here with
us? And make with us a covenant, and build us up within the Kingdom of
Jesus Christ.
Take our sins and cover them with the blood you shed upon the cross.
Take our lives we offer you and teach us how to stand in love. Through
anything that tries to stand in our way, you be our strength, dear Lord,
that rules our day! And make with us a covenant, and build us up within
the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Not by deeds, but through our faith, be our friend and daily make us
new. Make our hearts a living place where your Spirit comes and heals each
wound. And when we stand before your mighty throne, we will know it is
by grace alone. And make with us a covenant, and build us up within the
Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Send your angels, guard our way, place your light ahead of every path.
Lead us through the open sea, help us move ahead and not look back. And
when we make it to the promised land, remind us it was you who took our
hand. And make with us a covenant, and build us up within the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Send your everlasting power, mold it deep within our lives. Put your
arms around us, let us be a sample of your life. And when we reach out
to this troubled world, show other hearts and homes that you are real!
And make with them a covenant, and build them up within the Kingdom of
Jesus Christ.

If you only knew of Me
A prophetic word for one considering abortion
"If you knew My plan for your baby, you would not destroy My creation,
but protect it and sing My praises on it. You would not fear the difficulties
that could surmount through this hard time for you, but you would sing
praises unto Me, says the Lord.
Oh, if you knew My love I behold in My heart for you and your baby,
you would not consider it's many choices for life or death, but would decide
life, and rest in My trust alone. You would not worry of your many limitations,
but would sing for joy for the many surplus I hold in heaven.
If you only knew My love for you, dear Mother-to-be, you would not question
My acts or even ask why, but you would know that no matter what happens,
I would hold you and your baby up in My right hand and watch over you and
keep you both.
If you only knew of Me, your Lord and Savior, I could make your heart
brand new. I could change your mind on your choice. I could give life to
you and your baby with a future of hope, says the Lord.
If you would only call upon My name, says the Lord, I would do all these
things, just for you and for your baby. And you will know I live today
for you. You will know why I died for you and your baby years ago.
If you only knew My love for you and your baby, then you'll know that
I can do all these things for you and for your baby forevermore, in Jesus'
name. You could live with Me forevermore, says the Lord your God up high.
Reach high with your heart and find the courage to say yes to Me, so then
you, too, can say yes to your baby."

Sandcastles
A little girl and boy were sitting by the beach making sandcastles.
It was right after Sunday School, and they began to talk about Jesus.
"Do you think Jesus has a castle?" asked the boy.
"Sure!" said the girl. "I'll show you!" She got up and moved to another
spot on the beach and began to build a new sandcastle. When the foundation
was up, she pressed in the details of the castle with her fingers. Making
a door, she said, "See this door? This is Jesus. He's the only door!" The
girl then drew in windows, and said, "See these windows? These are our
rooms when we get to Heaven." She then paved a road that led right to the
castle door. Along side the road, she made a hill and drew a cross at the
top. Then spreading her arms over the castle, she said, "This is Jesus'
castle! He's the King and owns everything in Heaven 'cause his dad gave
it to him!"
"But, where's his dad?" asked the boy.
The girl got back on her hands and knees and drew a figure in one of
the top windows. "There he is!" said the girl.
"So, how do we get into the castle?" asked the boy.
"If we say yes to Jesus, then he lets us in," said the girl. "If we
say no, then we have to stand outside in the dark!"
"But, how will Jesus know it's us?" asked the boy.
"Jesus knows it's us by looking at our hearts," said the girl. "And
he has someone who helps him."
"Who's that?" the boy asked.
"The wind!" said the girl. "Jesus and the wind go all over the world
and look for people who want to live in the castle!"
"But, how do they do that?" asked the boy.
"Just watch the wind!" said the girl.
The boy watched the wind blow from the castle, travel across the beach,
and carry pebbles of sand back to the castle door.
"See!" said the girl. "And God gathers hearts just like that!"

The Last Trumpet
I came upon this village on a Sunday morning walk, and passed right
by a drunken man in this village park. His eyes were red from crying as
he looked into the sky, as though he might be talking to someone way upon
high.
Many people walked right by and shook their heads and looked, all dressed
up in their Sunday clothes while walking to their church. I felt bad for
that old man, how he'd wished he had it all...And walked a while, then
rested, thinking what I just had saw.
Then suddenly I fell to sleep and heard these trumpets sound...Blowing
over nations, over tree tops, over towns. And then I saw God standing there
with greatness and in awe... Looking down upon the earth, observing what
He saw.
He saw many people running to work, to church, to fun...But few had
paid attention to the warning signs above. I saw the Father turn and nod
as lightning filled the sky, and from upon this mighty throne stood His
Son by His side.
In Jesus' hand appeared this scroll with seven golden seals, and then
I heard more trumpets blow as thunder filled the air. I woke up and began
to run throughout the village streets, making sure what I just saw was
nothing but a dream.
I ran into the stained glass church and saw them sitting there...In
fellowship with folded hands, their heads all bowed in prayer. I felt relieved
to see them there and walked back through the park...'til I found the empty
wheel chair where that man gave God his heart!

A Journey to the Cross
"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one
comes to the Father, but through Me." (John 14:6)
28:18-20)
